Engaging with a coach will allow you to look at possibilities – not problems and causes. Coaching emphasizes wellbeing, strength based thinking and cultivating approaches to happiness. Through conversation you’ll identify your strengths and values, and learn how to tap into those as you make changes.

Whether we are exploring weight-loss or body image, or  physical and intellectual fitness – self esteem and self efficacy are at the core. We work together – you will discover your own reasons for change, and I will help you bridge the gap between where you are and where you want to be. We will work to overcome ambivalence and to identify real and/or perceived obstacles and then solutions to manage your progress.

Group Coaching

There are many advantages to experiencing coaching in a group. There is safety in numbers and being in a community of advocates. It removes the feeling of separateness and isolation that can often come in times of difficult transition and provides a sense of community.

Often it is difficult to see our own obstacles; when we see them in others it is easier to recognize them in ourselves. Recognizing these obstacles is the first step toward moving beyond them. The collective wisdom of the group allows for commitments that move faster and farther because of the vision the group holds for each individual.

Because confidentiality and trust is of primary importance, each individual will fill out a questionnaire prior to being accepted into group. This is for the benefit of the group participants to enable each individual to feel safe, comfortable and able to learn and grow from and with each other.
